The film begins with Rohan returning home from boarding school after 10 years. His mother Nandini had secretly kept in touch with Rahul and Anjali, and yearned for their return.
Rohan vows to reunite his family and goes to London, where he meets Rahul, Anjali and her younger sister Pooja. He pretends to be a stranger and befriends them. He also falls in love with Pooja, who has a crush on him since childhood. He tries to convince Rahul to come back home, but Rahul refuses to forgive his father. Rohan then reveals his true identity and begs Rahul to patch up with their father for their mother's sake.
Meanwhile, Yashvardhan learns about Rohan's whereabouts and travels to London with Nandini. He confronts Rahul and accuses him of being selfish and ungrateful. He also insults Anjali and her family, which angers Rahul. He declares that he has broken all ties with his father and will never return home. Yashvardhan leaves in despair, while Nandini stays back with Rahul and Anjali.
On the day of Rohan's birthday, Anjali's father suffers a heart attack and dies. Rahul and Nandini attend the funeral in India, where they meet Yashvardhan. Yashvardhan realizes his mistake and apologizes to Rahul and Anjali. He also accepts Pooja as Rohan's bride. The film ends with the family celebrating Diwali together at their ancestral mansion.
